  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Turnage Theater

The Fiction Critique Group meets year-round, the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7pm, Turnage Theater in downtown Washington, NC. We will meet briefly with the General Critique Group and then separate for our session.

Become a member of Pamlico Writers Group (click here) to participate in this critique group for longer fiction manuscripts.

Fiction Critique Group Goals:

1.    Share and critique other member's work in a positive and honest manner.

2.    Offer feedback on plot and character development.

3.    Offer ideas for planning and structuring a manuscript.

4.    Respect differences and remember we each have our own voice.

5.    Share knowledge on writing, publishing and promoting.

6.    Manuscripts will be shared through our Fiction Forum. MS size will be decided by group.

7.    Critiques done by Fiction Forum within a week.

8.    Anyone who fails to offer critiques will not receive them.

Sherri Hollister, the group moderator, is a very active and prolific writer of creative romance stories. This group should have a lively and sometime risque flavor.

Send Sherri an email to indicate your interest in the group. Her email is sherrilhollister@gmail.com

Our purposely small critique group allows each person time to read a short selection of their latest work and receive constructive criticism in a caring atmosphere. We expect members to respect the boundaries of decency and propriety for the listener and the writer. We look forward to a mutual rich growth.
